Charlotte found 2 seconds with a best lap of 1.45.7 in the afternoon’s dry race and Harrison a full 5 seconds faster over the weekend. Thanks though to for his impromptu coaching and data analysis for the Marcos drivers. Next round is at Silverstone GP 14/15th August. We’ve done well to hang on to it for this long but haven’t given up on getting it back. Sam and Richard Neary earned themselves a 2nd and a 1st place in their Mercedes AMG GT in GT3 which now puts them 3 points ahead of us in the over all championship with 3 rounds remaining. Jon Harrison and Charlotte Gilbert were happy to take 3rd place in a wet first race in the GTB class and 3rd again for the afternoon’s dry race. We knew the race would be tough to maintain over all championship lead that we have been so keen to protect but Lucky Khera who has joined their class in the Ferrari 488 was tough to beat and Lunn and Gilbert had to settle for two 2nd place finishes. Very brave at 69 years old! He was co piloting the Marcos Mantis with Charlotte Gilbert who has never raced at the circuit and was last there in 2001 with British GT but missed out on the race after a mechanical failure.
The team were delighted to have Jon Harrison back in the team having not raced with the team since 2018 and the last time he had raced at Oulton Park.
It was the first outing in Lamborghini Huracan for Jensen Lunn and Warren Gilbert at Oulton Park and with mixed weather reports we were grateful for a dry test day to get to grips with the car around the hugely technical and unforgiving circuit. The toughest challenge of all the circuits in the championship. The team are back home after the one day GT Cup round at Oulton Park.

The team will again be campaigning the Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo, driven by 2021 GTC Champions and over all runners up, Jensen Lunn and Warren Gilbert and would like to complement and maximise their championship opportunities to run a second/third competitive car.įor drivers with budget, they would have the opportunity to race with an option on the car selection, including Porsche in class GTB, Ginetta GT4 or a 2nd Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo which would be the same specification as the Lunn/Gilbert car.
